We are here to serve

Who Are We?

  • This Trust evolved in 2007 from the concerns of a local group of Christian health professionals about unequal access to care. We saw that not everyone could afford to get the health care they needed. We felt a responsibility to change that.
  • We started from a General Practitioner, a Specialist Surgeon and a Midwife/Counsellor. There are now over sixty people on our database of supporters.
  • We are a Registered Charitable Trust (Deed of Incorporation 2286795)

Trust Purposes

The purpose of the Servants Health Centre Trust is to:
  • establish and manage a General Practice Health Centre in Dunedin city, aimed at people who struggle to afford health care,
  • provide professional care of the highest standard, free to those in the Dunedin community,
  • be a place where volunteers can be part of an organised team, helping others,
  • coordinate and provide a workspace for other providers (specialists, counsellors, support groups) who are inspired to work with those in need,
  • to use any profits to enable others who have a vision to help those in need.
